What the Liaison Is
The AI Ethics Liaison is a full member of the pod who brings specialized expertise in responsible AI practices, regulatory compliance, and ethical reasoning. They participate in all aspects of the pod's work—not as an auditor, but as a contributor who helps the team build AI that is responsible by design.
Partner, Not Police
The Liaison works with the team to find solutions, not against them to block progress. Their goal is to help the team succeed while meeting governance requirements.

Technical Enough

What the Liaison Is Not

The Liaison cannot be removed from the pod or have their performance negatively impacted for raising legitimate governance concerns. This protection is essential to the role's effectiveness. If Liaisons fear retaliation, they will self-censor, and the model fails.
